These works are inspired by a traumatic relationship that left a deep impression on Clara's personal style. Starting with the Fuck Your Words, these drawings were a form of processing complex emotions about the vulgarity of sex and masculinity and the estrangement of one's own body through sexual encounters. Penises seemed threatening and gross but are rendered comical and innocent in the world of cartoonish figures. Relationships, sex and men keep having an influence on Clara's art since they are some of the most vulnerable spaces where art can help transform negative feelings into something tangible, beautiful or meaningful to the artist.
