Clara wants to be an artist. This came as quite a surprise. At first she avoided art at all costs — God forbid she became like her mother. But whilst studying languages at the University of Warwick she lived with 10 people who were into music and weed and Clara would find herself at the dinner table drawing and filling the walls with relics of their time together. And as time passed, Clara was drawn again and again to other artists. She enjoys communal crafting, passing paper back and forth until something absurd is born. Seeing her friends' creativity merged with her own. Then, after dating took its toll on her, art became a form of therapy and a spiritual medium. She started drawing penises to process Bad Men, Bad Sex and her role as a woman in all this. Later these themes are processed using other styles, such as the use of postcards. Art is also simply a form to commemorate life in all its different phases, with works that reflect whatever environment she finds herself in and inevitably draws inspiration from. Now Clara is back in her hometown, Vienna, and is fooling around with spray paint, screen printing, drawing with Posca markers, writing, and has some canvas projects that daunt her. She would like to find a place in which she can further explore her creativity, for example combining her passion for writing and textiles with visual arts. A place with the tools that allow her to play without limits.
